Places to visit in Singapore

An island city of the coast of Malaysia, Singpore has tons of attractions within an hour of each other. One of the most beautiful gardens I have been to so far is the Gardens by the Bay. What is so attractive about this place is grandness of the garden which includes different themed garden attractions in the middle of a bustling city. The SuperGrove allows visitors to walk from the tree tops, and includes a light show at night.

The Flower Dome is known for its alternating theme every season which at the time was “Beetle-inspired”. The most enjoyable part besides the colorful floral garden was the air conditioned room. The 90 degree weather in the summer can be unbearable. I also visited the Cloud Forest which had a stunning waterfall standing at least 7 stories high. Mesmerizing to look at from the bottom!

Another garden I visited was the National Orchid Garden located in the middle of another major park. Sadly when we visited, it started to pour heavily. But beautiful nonetheless, and the price was a lot cheaper than the Gardens by the Bay.

The next day, I decided to visit Sentosa Island which includes Universal Studios, water park, aquariums, beaches, and golf courses. They have numerous combo pack for the day depending on which attractions you decide to choose. The cable cars throughout Sentosa Island was fun to ride and get a great view of the island and parts of Singapore. The most iconic photo I had to get in Singapore was with the Merlion, their national statue of Singapore. I got to visit Universal Studios and walk through different areas of the parts. Lastly, enjoy some coconut ice cream of the beach before heading back to the main city.
