LA gets pretty hectic when you lease expect. Sometimes, I would like to get away from the hustle and bustle of LA county and play tourist in another city. When an old college friend hit me up to visit her in San Diego, I was more than happy to take a day trip down.
The difference between San Diego and LA: how chill everyone is. Beautiful beaches not overcrowded like Santa Monica or Long Beach, and everyone seem so friendly and happy to be here. I love when there’s no traffic, and I am able to get to where I need to go lickity split.

Arriving around lunch time, I had to stop at the most iconic eatery in SD known as Phil’s Barbeque. Fortunately I came before lunch rush and was able to orderly quickly and find a table to sit out. The barbecued brisket and chicken were undeniably amazing, and the sides didn’t disappoint either.
Barbecue Brisket was amazing!
Playing tourist, I had to visit Balboa Park and the iconic pond in the middle. The architecture was beautiful and even a small green house to see the local vegetations growing in SD. I felt like I was transported to Spain due to the Spanish-styled architectures.

Last but not least, I visited most popular beach, Coronado Beach to catch the sunset. It was amazing to see all the seals and sea lions sunbathing along the rocks and shores. It was amazing how up close you can get to the seals. Right next to the beaches are some local eateries where I got some delicious gelato at Bobboi.
