Exploring Philadelphia

Excited to get the chance to fly back to the East Coast! It has almost been a year since I’ve traveled to the East Coast, and first time finding myself catching a glimpse of the fall weather. Growing up in Souther California, the only season that exist is Summer. Thanksgiving this year was shrouded in 90 degree weather and summer tan lines. So the first chance I get to experience “sweater weather,” I had to say “YES”!

The one thing I dislike about the west coast is that we only have on season out of the year: Summer! It was so fortunate to be in Philly during the autumn season where you can see the array of reds and oranges on the trees. Without hesitation, I had to throw up a pile of leaves to make up for the lost of a traditional childhood pastime!

It wouldn’t be a Philly trip without trying some philly cheesesteak or even getting my hands on some east coast bagels in Reading Terminal. The cheesesteak was stuff with mouthwatering brisket and melted cheesy. I also I had the chance to hit up a delicious dessert shop selling matcha drinks and cakes. A light fitting end to a carb-loaded meal in Philadelphia.

Even in November, downtown was covered in Christmas decorations and Christmas music. It was lovely to catch the light show displayed off the main government building in Philly and also the famous Christmas tree hanging in the oldest Macy’s in the country. Next time I decide to fly to the east coast, I wouldn’t mind laying over in Philadelphia.
