If looking for a romantic spot in LA, stop looking. This is it! Finally finishing my college career after 5 years, I wanted to celebrate somewhere special. Thus, I decided to try out this little fairytale gem called ‘Il Cielo’. Located east of Beverly Hills towards Mid-Whilshire, this little Italian restaurant is known for its beautiful lights and beautiful decor (complete with rose petals strewn all over your table come on what can be more romantic than that,). The main attraction in this restaurant is the beautiful glass chandelier and fairy lights covering the entire patio area.

And don’t get me started on the food. Despite the small portion sizes, this Italian joint packs some of the best flavors I’ve had, period. I enjoyed the fact that their pastas are all homemade. The paparadelle tasted delicious and the sauce they used strong and definitely did not have any residual taste of wine whatsoever. Also, the shredded wild boar in the pappardelle pasta was so soft and juicy. At first, I couldn’t even tell it was pork. Didn’t leave a gamey after-taste in my mouth whatsoever.
Paparadelle al cinghiale – Homemade Pappardelle, Roasted Wild Boar, Natural Au Jus, Barolo Wine
The amount of pasta was perfect and not too al dente. The clams tasted fresh, and were well seasoned. Extremely generous with the clams! By the time my bf was done, his plate was full of clamshells!
Tagliolini alle Vongole – Homemade Tagliolini, Manila Clams, White Wine, Zucchini Puree
I’d definitely recommend this restaurant for a date! Make sure to make reservations ahead (3-5 days) and request the outdoor patio!
